Need specs dwell etc. for eng.

140, 4 cyl merc eng. with pre-alpha leg. Anyone have the secs for: points gap. dwell, and timmin?

llerrad, what year is it? <br />from the clymer's book, 64-85. merc service manual volume 2 agrees with all except where noted.<br /><br />gap.- .022"<br />dwell- 28-34 degrees ( 31-34 degrees per merc service manual volume 2)<br />timing- 6 degrees BTDC<br />spark plug gap- .035"<br />idle- serial # up to 3826282, 500-600 rpm in gear<br />WOT- 4200-4600 rpm<br />if yer motor aint in between these years, disregaurd this info. and i am not a boat mech, but do think i can read. <br />if someone else thinks this is wrong info, please correct me.<br />hope this helps ya....
