need to know hp rating on inline 6

i bought a motor last week and think i got screwed on the size of the motor i bought it for a 150 i think it's a 115

That serial no is for a 1981 150HP.

There is no such thing as a 1981 inline 150HP merc. 150HP models went to the V-6 configuration in 1978. if the motor is a 1981, and an inline six, the max HP it could be is 115HP.
