Need to know the year of my 40hp Mariner

I have a 40 hp Mariner I was told it was a 1980 but I want to make sure. I included a picture of the label. Mariner 40BM 676 B 304047 <br />Thanks in advance.<br />

The starting number in 1978 was 676-B 401141 so you moter was built earlier
