Need to order a Johnson KEY online

I understand that having the number off the switch, I can get a new key from my "local Johnson dealer". Well, I don't have a local marina of any sort, so, I was wondering if they can be ordered online?
TIA, jim

Re: Need to order a Johnson KEY online

OK, I found switch assemblies, and wiring harnesses, but , after attemting to navigate that website for about 15 minutes, I couldn't find anything about getting a key made to fit my switch. I couldn't enter in the make and model, the dates only go back to '68, this [johnson sea horse, 35 hp] would date to about 1960. But since these key switches were universal for many sizes and years, that shouldn't be needed, anyway.

Best bet is to just buy a new switch and keys. I had the same problem you did, and it only cost me $25 for the new switch, and I was done. Look at the back of your switch, and duplicate it, since you need all the terminals on that switch. If you have a 35 hp older than 1968, it's either a 58 or 59. Those use the classic 5 terminal OMC switch, with a separate choke button. Get that, and it'll match your current switch.

Or look at this page for a push-to-choke ignition switch that will work with your wiring harness:
