need to warm up after turning engine off each time??

what i have: 1980 200johnson 6cylinder<br />problem i'm having: every time i turn off the engine and start it up again, i have to let it run, sometimes need to choke, for a minute or two before i can move or will cut off. happnes every time i move from one fishing spot to another. replaced fuel line, filter, bulb... doesn't seem like a gas problem. don't know what else it could be!?!

When was the last time you replaced the sparkplugs and what plugs are you running?

replaced the plugs in may, have been out on 4-5 trips, using champion, forget the #, but using the ones it calls for

I'd overhaul the carbs and test the recirculation valves.
