I need to install a tachometer on my 2011 Mercury 40hp 4-stroke. Can I simply buy a wiring harness and tachometer from iboats to just plug into the smartcraft plug coming out of my gearshift control and then wire the tach? or do I need to cut and splice wiring? any help will be appreciated.
