I have a 1972 Larson v-hull 19 ft. boat and I am replacing the windshield and a couple more of the glass.I already have the glass cut but need to find out where I can get the rubber channel for them. The old stuff cannot be reused, its dry rotted. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can tell me where to buy it Thanks

Re: need windshield/glass channeling

CW,

Show us some pics of the channeling.

My guess is that the windshield was probrably made by Taylor Marine. They do post some specs on their website. They sell replacement parts like what you are looking for. You can also call them and ask them if they made that windshield for Larson or not. Have the hulll id number handy.

Another avenue would be to call Larson directly and ask them who made the windshield.

Good luck and keep us posted on what you find out. Someone is always looking for this kind of stuff.

Re: need windshield/glass channeling

I have the same dilemma. The windshield is in great shape but the rubber seal that holds the glass in the channel is a challenge to find. The way mine is made, it looks like it is going to have to come apart to even find out what type seal it is. Boy! I sure don?t want to buy a new windshield....$500+. I was also going to powder coat the frame, so it has to come apart.
