Re: Need wiring harness for "72" 25hp evinrude. ?? where to find?
This is the one with the plug ins on the "dash board" of the outboard. It will have 2 large pins, and a number of smaller pins. These did not make very good contact, and tended to burn up at the pin/socket connection because of the resistance at that point. I would recommend that you "hard wire" directly past that connector, and never have trouble. However, if your dead set on having the thing removable, try
www.tcoutboard.com they probably have a used one of these harness'. You should have a pin count when you inquire, as there are two different connector designs, the first had a remotely mounted box that contained the starter relay. The other type had the relay installed under the hood. The shape of the connector is the same, but the pin counts are different.
