I got a 1986 evinrude 75 hp on a hydrasport and i was wanting to know how to change the impeller and the propper oil gas mix to use.<br /><br /> <br /> danniyelli

Changing the water pump is not complicated but, the first thing you have to do is get your hands on a service manual. You can check one out at the local library. As far as fuel mixture on that engine you should use a 50:1 mix. The hand book may tell you to use a 100:1 mix but Evinrude came out with a service bulletin advising the 50:1 mix after having to replace a lot of burned up power heads.

Gas oil mix is 50:1.<br /> I dont know the procedure for your impeller<br /> But you should not atempt any repairs without<br /> a service manual there are often important steps and precautions you may overlook without it.
