Ok so I am building a bass boat, which came with a minn-kota bow-mount. However, the trolling motor did not come in this mount. I have a 55lb thrust Minn-Kota transom mount, and I know I can remove the screw and turn the top around.
Ok, so my question is that I need somehow to make this trolling motor work in this mount. The shaft of the trolling motor is skinny, and when put on the mount, it just moves up and down freely. I want to be able to control this. Also, since the shaft is thinner than need be, it just wiggles when in the mount.
Any help and ideas would be appreciated. I want to retain the mount I have, since it is easy to just pull a cord and drop it in. I know about the L-mounts for the bow, but I would rather not.
Thanks,
Brandon
