All I can say is that this is the best forum I've found in a long time regarding boats...

So here's my issue, I currently have 1976 75hp Evinrude on 16' polar kraft, but it has no trim/tilt... I've looked on ebay for a used one and all around here locally to no avail.... I know that this model motor had it as an option, but I can't find an original OMC unit.... I have seen the CMC aftermarket jack plate with trim, but is a little out of my price range... But if this is the only way it may happen please let me know... Looking for advice and options here, thanks in advance..

By the time you're done paying for a used unit, any repairs it needs, and finding a relay box and controls, that CMC unit is going to seem like a real bargain.

For anything pre-'78 that's the route you want to take.

The CMC unit is the way to go I put on my 1965 Star Craft performed well.
I got the boat for sale, a picture of boat with trim on & motor before trim

EDIT: advertisement to sell, pictures would have been fine. TD

They are cosly but I broke down & spent the money was worth it.
