My late father had a Neptune "Mighty-Mite" outboard. My Brother-in-Law now has it and it is in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. I've searched the web and have found many Neptune Mighty-Mites, but none that are quite like this one. The gas tank wraps a bit around the magneto but has a rounded back instead of being squared off. The tank is bright red and has the "Neptune Mighty-Mite" decals in great shape. The (brass) exhaust pipe curves and flattens out at the bottom. Also, the throttle is in the handle which also folds up. Can anybody give me an approximate year(s) for this motor? I know it was before the '50's, probably sometime in the 40's, but maybe earlier. Any info appreciated.
