The one I own is about 12 years old. I would like to purchase one from iboats but was told they don?t carry it. Could someone please tell me if there is an aftermarket part that I could order from this site?

Thanks in advance.

Ayuh,.... I'd guess it's Yamaha specific, only available from Yamaha,....

Have ya tested yer's to be sure it's bad,..??

They don't usually go bad, unless abused,...

No, I have not tested mine. It?s been an intermittent problem and I am only assuming. The reason why is when I re-adjust the shifting lever the problem typically goes away. I will also say whether is related or not, I can hear the choke work when the problem happens.

Does this sound like a neutral switch problem?

Thanks again.

Nope,... More likely corroded wirin' connections in the start circuit,....

All the connections gotta be shiny clean metal,....
Discoloration is corrosion,...

I was checking my connections and found this wire not connected. For some reason I can't locate the other end. With that said, could someone please tell me what this brass part is and where is this wire suppose to connect to?

Ayuh,.... My guess is it's a temp sender or temp alarm switch,...

Could this be related to my ignition switch issue which I was thinking is a neutral switch problem?

Regardless, Thank you for your timely reply and suggestions.

Don.
