At the bank.

Seriously check the rebuild forums. You may change your mind.

I would start by going to the restoration forum here and start reading and reading and reading. There is a ton of info there...

My buddy is nearly done with his Bayliner. He has over 2K into the resto and its not quite finished yet. Its also taken 2 years and we have both learned a lot.
But after this, I am looking for a tinny for my resto project.

Re: Never done this need help

Taken me 20 months and still waiting for the engine to be installed so I can finish it up. I forgot to ask my roommate what I was up to put last I remember it was about 3k, that includes tools that had to be bought which can be used on other projects or sold online which is where I bought half of them. But way cheaper than what my boatman said it would cost if I hired someone to do it. Plus, I know the quality of the materials that went into her, won't say about the quality of my workmanship but does look better than what I tore out of her.

Thread moved...... Start by seeing if you are truly in love with the boat and have allot of time and money to dedicate.

In the end you will have a restored boat not worth any more then book price and you will spend more then that. If it has an OMC outdrive just walk away now.......if it has a 3.7 liter motor ...walk away
