OEM manual states when cleaning the carbs and removing the throttle body core plug when you install the new one apply GASOILA sealer to the edge. What the heck is gasoila sealer. this is a 1990 200 johnson.

I actually have two old cans of Gasoila sealer. You can use Permatex Aviation sealer (comes in a small can with a brush attached to the lid and available at any auto parts store.)
