I've been fighting a fuel issue for awhile now. Truns out the attwood fuel lines u get at academy Walmart and so on have a plastic lining in them if the get bent at all plastic will separate from rubber and cause a clog. Didn't figure it was my issue since they were new but tore em apart and every connection was closed up and clogged. Just thought I would let everybody know. In case any one out there is having issues. And are using attwood fuel lines.

3/8 fuel injection hose from auto zone. What do you mean its usually gas that your hearing about?

OK I guess you are talking about gas eating away at the hose because of the ethanol?

Serious problem!!! The so-called ethanol resistant hoses are lined. This lining can deteriorate and break up, thus clogging fuel filters and carburetors and injectors. replace often and be careful not to leave fuel in them for extended periods of time.

After having problems as I answered just today with Quicksilver/Mercury gray plastic fuel lines, I ripped it all out, put in a new squeeze bulb, fuel filter and Lowe's clear PVC plumbing line. Been 6 months and the line is clear, the engine runs, and no tan scale in the line. So much for OEM stuff!!!!!!!! I spent a lot of time on www trying to get the chemical formula for the tubing and what it could and couldn't tolerate. Found nothing. Since I can see it, if it deteriorates, I will replace it, but after 9 months, doesn't look like that is going to be a problem.

Well I'm not sure about the ethanol eating it away plastic inside hose caved in and crumpled up at each connection. If u bend the hose at all it separates from rubber hose I have pics I will upload when I get off work. Not trying to bash just make people aware if they have fuel issues and are using attwood fuel lines lines were only about six months old and been having problem since new. I bought the motor without fuel lines and went the attwood route

That's what we would like, pictures. Helps all of us draw conclusions based on info. Your assessment may be totally correct, we just need to know the inputs. Can you also define the bending you are describing better, so that we know a little more about how tight a radius they were exposed to? Thanks. Clear PVC for fuel lines? That stuff will break down once it get old. I had to replace every bit of it (oil lines) in my engine. My real concern is the fire hazzard it presents if it cracks. Merc used it for the oil lines but not for fuel. Probably for the liability of it.

I was not saying that ethanol was the reson only that it was a question
