Hi all!

Got another problem: I just broke off a CHAMPION RS12YC spark plug that was installed in my new engine. Now, the problem is i can't find a seller that has that type of spark plug in my country. Well, i decided to switch to NGK. The equivalent should be BPR5EFS, according to what a salesman told me. Is this the correct spark plug?

thanx

Yes, that's the correct cross reference.

Aldo

While that may be the correct equivalent for the RS12YC, that is also the wrong plug for the engine. Personally any Champion plug is the wrong plug IMHO.
But, the correct NGK plug for the 3.0L is the BPR6EFS according to the Mercruiser parts catalog and service manual.

Don. First, thanks but I have another question. I checked my Operation, Maintenance and Warranty Manual and it's telling me that I should use an AC-MR43LTS plug with a gap set at .045. This plug does not cross reference to the NGK you advised to use. My motor is an 04' 3.0L as well. Can you advise further. I'd rather use the NGK's but I'm looking for your, or anyone's for that matter, input. Thanks again.

The mr43lts is what I use for my 3.0. I don't have any problems with them or complaints.
