New 4.3 L repower engine upgrades--PICS included

Hello all,

Re powering my 4.3 with a jasper crate engine. I was inquiring on what else I should add to it while I have the go ahead to give myself a Merry Christmas.
I am going to replace the exhaust manifolds to the two piece (possibly aluminum) instead of the old one piece batwing junk. I was thinking of new intake manifold and upgrading from 2bbl to 4 bbl.

Please take a look at old engine pics and please recommend brands, places to get (websites), and anything else you can pick a part that needs replacing.

A good intake manifold and 4bbl will really wake up your vortec motor.

I would check everything behind the engine for corrosion. If I repower I change the Y pipe also. Not necessary but its something less to worry about.
I agree with 180shabah, 4bbl intake and carb will make a nice power difference. I have used edelbrock carbs and intakes with good results. If its a saltwater boat you will need a cast iron intake.

Ayuh,.... Any of the online Hot Rod Shops have the Edlebrock carbs,+ aluminum manifolds...

Michigan Motors carries the cast iron manifolds for Saltwater use...

And be sure to get the MARINE Edelbrock carb. 'nutcase
