After 12 years the bottom end decided to give out on my old '89 4.3L. Looks like the block is cracked. This will be her second repower. LOL The good news is that the top end is completely new. New Vortec heads, roller rockers, intake, carb and manifolds.

Sooo, I called up Rapido and ordered a non-balance shaft 4.3L with a roller cam for electric fuel pumps. Probably be ready next week.Hey wait a minute, didn't the 4.3L come with a roller cam in a non balance shaft engine? He is charging me $150 for one. ??

Most folks seem fine with his builds so I went with him this time as I only need a short block.

Now the question is, how to get that block out of the boat? May have to use a cherry picker mounted on the loading dock to clear the hull.
