Yup, if the gubmint didn't sign off on it, then surely it's unsafe!

Haven't you guys heard? It's the government's JOB to make decisions for you, and if they didn't say it was safe, well then damnit, it's not safe! :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

And surely if there's a product out there with brighter colors, that's marketed in a shiny package with pictures of children having fun, it's a MUCH safer product, than one that comes in a plain brown box, for about 1/10 the price.

The fact that the shiny product only lasts 1 use... that's a safety feature as well. :D

That's right. If you can't use it, it MUST be safe.

Come on people, common sense is allowed here. Spending $400 on a tube because you think it safer, well, go ahead. But I spent years riding around on a truck tube and the only pain I received was from being thrown off during sharp turns. Even with todays tubes, you still get that (if you don't, then you ain't doin' it right :p). Sure, the prettier, fancier, safer tubes of today have a better system for connecting them to the tow rope, but I never had any problems before.
