i just dropped a new 5.7 merc in my buddies boat. its a 2002 starcraft 23'. has a bravo 3 out drive. ive triple checked hoses and wiring. it runs great, but its not pulling seawater in the boat for motor cooling. im not familiar with drives, but is there not some sort of impellor in it to pull water in the boat, then the seawater pump takes over? or did i miss something. everything was fine before the motor replacement as far as cooling system. the idiot never pulled the drains before winter and cracked the block. he didnt know it until he put it in the water, which filled the oil pan and send oil and water throughout the whole seawater system. anyway any insight on this problem would be great. i read something somewhere about a seacock, but i didnt see one anywhere. thanks
