I am a new owner of a 1980 Aristocraft 9-teen, HIN # ATL87610M80C, new member here, and not to mention a new owner to a boat. LOL. I understand this boats production was ended in 1980. I saw someone post that there 1979 was the 45th to the last boat made, and wondered how I could find out how many were made in 1980, and how close to the end of the run mine is.
I stumbled onto this boat on Craigslist. I wasn't real big on it until I went and looked at it. The boat fired right up, and everything appeared to be in working order, that is until we put it on the lake. It idled out of our canal fine, but when we went to trim down, it wouldn't, so we figured we would putt around the lake on this trip, and get the trim fixed before we go out again. Well, then it wanted to stall, and didn't want to start back up for us.
So now we are at the point the trim won't go down, and the boat will fire (usually with the aid of starting fluid) but not stay running. The boat goes to the shop tomorrow to get fixed, unless someone on here might be able to help. I know there are other forums for these problems, and I will be there next, but I figured other Aristocraft owners might have had similar problems.
Thanks in advance for any help.
