Re: New Batteries

The blue tops are the marine, but only have half the warrentee of the red top car batteries. So what my friend does is buy the red top and when he has had a problem he just pulls it and takes it in and sez it's from his car.

My son has had 2 of them go bad in his Jetta. I am not sure they are worth the extra bucks. Just get a good marine wet cell and spend the savings on beer or boat gas.

If you really want some battery capacity get two 6V golf cart batteries and wire in series. That will crank your boat forever. Or power your accessories for days.

Re: New Batteries

We have used them in race boats and race cars and they take a beating. They can hang upside down without any fluids or gas escaping. I personally would do what cr2k says and and go with wet cell.
