New Block 120/140

Where's the best price on a new block for my soon to be retired '72 120. Which is more efficient for an old 21' starcraft islander 120, or 140hp. Can a new/reman. block just bolt up to a pre-alpha drive?

Even if you buy a Brand New Mercruiser bobtail motor,.......
You're probably going to need to use some of the old parts from your 120......

I'd go with the 3.0l......
