Hey.. just wondering if anyone can help me figure out what prop I should get for my boat. Ive been looking on ebay, but just dont know what to get. I have an 88 Sunbird skiboat, that is 17.5 ft with a 4.3L and omc cobra drive. It is a 15 spline, but thats all I know. Someone stole my prop before I aquired it. thanks for the info.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest a 21" pitch 3 blade Aluminum prop to start with, you want to be in the 4200-4600rpm range at WOT. With 4200 being the least rpm with it's heaviest load, and 4600 rpm tops with it being at it's lightest load. If you rev more then this with the 21" prop, Don't throttle up as much, and at least you can use it as a spare prop for towing a tube, or a skiier, because it will give you more power, and you won't be pulling them at WOT, it would be too fast.

I would only add that you may be able to find a dealer that will let you try props if you intend to buy.
