New boat...Need to change prop?

Just picked up a "new" boat. It is a 1994 16' Alumacraft with a 40hp Honda 4-stroke that has an aluminum 11 3/4 x 11 prop on it. I found it out or Wisconsin & brought it back to Wyoming (I know...long haul, but got it at a good deal). It is 15 below here today, so it will be a while before I can take it out, but was wondering if anybody would have any information on if I will need to re-prop??

Full throttle is 500-6000 rpm....won't know what it is until the lakes open back up to get it out.

Just to kill time till spring comes;
tell us more about the boat is it a bare tiller steer utility or a full dress fish and ski?
Typical load and activities?

Boat is a "semi-bare" tiller steer. It has a livewell & rod storage along both sides of the boat along with a MinnKota trolling motor & fishfinder. Boat is strictly for fishing & typical load is me, my wife & 2 kids (approx. 450#). Thanks

Do you have a model name like maybe 165 tiller?
16 ft weight ranges from about 450 to 900 lbs.

An 11 or 12 pitch will work fine.
