Hello guys,
Because i want to have something to do this winter i am starting a new project. My friend has a Spitfire with 25HP (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ow38Vnw3-s)
I think its great and i want one too
I am planning on buying an old spitfire with a deep V-hull which i am going to reinforce with glassfiber polyester mats becuase the boat standart would be able to handle more then 10 or 10HP.. i am going to equip it with a 30HP Mercury Lightning cyl 2stroke
I am purely going for topspeed
I want to fly over the water
What kind of adjustments do u guys think would increase speed? like the hight of the engine or the level of the anti cavitation plate compaired to the bottom?
I want to use a Chopper2, Cleaver or Ballistic prop, what do u guys with will be best? by mate's boat does 40mph with a 15p ballistic and its completely out of the water balancing on the v bottom
(on the video is has a 13p alu though) but i have 5HPs extra.. would one of these props work or are they too much?
thanks for thinking with me
