New boat (to me) King Cobra trim indicator no worky

It's stuck in the full-up trailer trim position, I just took the access panel off the cockpit electrical area but I need to take a closer look. I prey it's under there, but if it's part of the drive, what should I look for first?

This is the later generation King Cobra with the cone clutch and F-N-R gear case in the upper.

I have the 2.3 omc and the only gauge that don't work is the trim/tilt. It's pegged just like yours, There's a thread about something that goes bad on these that stop it from registering to the gauge, even though trim/tilt works. Believe the part was a few hundred to fix it so people just deal with it not working. I'll try and see if I can't find the thread for you.

I have the 2.3 omc and the only gauge that don't work is the trim/tilt. It's pegged just like yours, There's a thread about something that goes bad on these that stop it from registering to the gauge, even though trim/tilt works. Believe the part was a few hundred to fix it so people just deal with it not working. I'll try and see if I can't find the thread for you.

Thanks! I will check out my manual again (although it's too damn big, hundreds of pages for other models as well) - so I turn it hard to port and look for the sender on the starboard side?

Yes I believe so, I have yet to check mine out. But hope a cleaning does the trick for you.
