Thanks to all that replied to my earlier posts as I looked for a boat to better meet my family’s needs. Wife and I decided to go with a nice bowrider - a new 2002 Glastron GX205 that is white with red trim. Our decision was based on *our* need for a larger, smoother ride outweighing *my* need for something to fish from. Over the last year, I've been half-heartedly trying to sell my 14' V-jon style boat which I'll now hang onto for fishing. Besides the local lakes, we hope to use the new Glastron 1 to 3 times per year on ICW which it should be OK for - no offshore or anything. I was looking at their Ski & Fish models but they didn't have a 20' from last year in stock and we thought the 18' wasn't quite large enough. My family's view on this is that we traded "daddy's boat" for "our boat" which is, after all, what is most important.

Thanks again for all the help!

BL...
