Hello. What a great forum this is! I'm new to boating. Just boat a 1958 Runabout with a 45 hp Mercury motor. Have no manual. Can someone help me with gas oil ratio? And, how do I translate to pints and gallons. Thanks so much for the help!

For something that old, it's probably 24:1. That's about 5.3 ounces of oil for every gallon of gas.

Howdy, PacGroove.

Welcome to iboats. :)

You need to post the serial number of the engine to determine the year. Then we can recommend the correct fuel mix.

In the meantime, I agree with ZmOz. Use a 24:1 mix, or 1qt TC-W3 outboard oil to 6 gallons 87 octane unleaded gas.

Good luck. :)
