New Boating destinations???

Hi well with the season coming soon looking for some imput about some cool and interesting new boating lakes within reasonable truck, Live in Southern Ca. Thinking about of couse Meade and Powell also heard about Majove and also haven't been to lake Isabella. Mainly boated locally in the inland Empire areas.
Would greatly appreciate some imput.

How far are you willing to drive? Clear Lake is quite a drive from So Cal, but it's plenty big, and has loads of fish, esp in the spring time.
