I have a used Yahmaha 4HP 4 stroke that I just acquired. It is a Year 2000 model. It has low hours on it but it was idling very roughly and initially it would only run continually with the choke open. I sprayed sea foam into the carb generously and after a while it would run without the choke but it was still a very rough idle. So I decided the carb needed a thorough soaking and cleaning. The carb was filthy and smelled like a paint store. It was full of crud. The first jet I unscrewed snapped when I was unscrewing it, it was so seized. I decided then to spend some money and order a new carb. Is there anything I need to know about installing it? I am assuming that all the jets and float will have been pre-screwed/set into their optimal positions? Is there anything I will have to adjust myself besides the throttle screw?
