So my 06 90 elpto carb suddenly started running very poorly last week. Came to the conclusion it had a bad cdm part 827509-a8. Mercury said its superseded by part 827509a10. Put the new cdm in and it started up and idled great, but now won’t rev past 5k, almost as if theres 5k rev limiter. I’ve noticed the cdm has a longer plug wire. I called mercury again and they confirmed it was the correct part. Any ideas?
