New control cables vs. custom made

I've got a problem. Although my steering cables seem OK, my remote control cables are totally gone. My remote box seems to be rebuildable, but I can't seem to find replacement cables. Are there people who can do custom cables? Or, do I have to go with new equipment?

The cables are for a '61 merc400, Kiekhaefer, with matching Kiekheafer control box.

It's a classic '64 Glasspar Marathon, and I'd rather keep it as original as possible.

Patrick check with these guys they have alot of stuff for the old Mercs . I have a 1959 Mark 58A 45HP myself.

are they not standard 33C control cables? sorry, but im not sure when these were introduced? look like this?

No. Not quite. I'll take some digi pics on Friday and post them. All the pics I have now are two years old and when I resize them to make them fit the post they get blurry. I'll have to figure that out, also.

Rick, yah I've been to that site. the only problem I have is their prices. I know, I know. Old motors have hard to fine parts. but if I hadn't had problems with ordering from two different boat part sites, I wouldn't have found the internal wiring harness for my '78 merc for 1/4 the cost of the dealer I first went to, and the harness for the '61 merc400 for only a few $$ less than that. The internet makes things a lot easier, but it's also a pain in the *****.
I did go ahead and order two things I haven't found anywhere else though. so it wasn't a waste of time going there.
The problem with a lot of sites though, is their parts list starts at '65. So it makes it difficult finding things.
