Looking at upgrading to a new 40hp tiller E-Tech. Does anyone know how well they handle temps in the teens and single digits? I hunt ducks in the late season and on't want the oiler system not working due to thickening oil.

The oiling system will be fine. Ski-Doo uses the E-Tec in
their snowmobiles.

So what is the difference between an E-tec oiling system and that of your pick-up truck ?

The E-tech concept ( direct fuel injection ) has been around for about 20 years.----Oil is injected where needed.-----Gasoline is injected into the cylinder after ports close.-----123 , did GM not have a 2 stroke diesel with 2 crankshafts years and years ago.----Two pistons in a common cylinder is NOT a new concept.

Scott - Don't give up. Use the ignore feature and you won't be bothered.

Guys - Please stay on topic and help the OP.

Outboards are not restricted to warm weather use. If you can stand the cold, so can an E-TEC.
