New Engine Installed - adjust cam angle 2001 5.7 GXI-A engine

Replaced the engine with a new long block, read the ECM adjust the ignition timing, but I need to adjust the cam angle?

from the research I have done the information is in the Volvo Penta - Electrical/Ignition/Fuel Service Manual

5.7 GXI-A

Anyone have that information or can help me out.

When I did mine a few years ago, I used a Rhinda techmate unit. If you seat the distributor in the correct cam tooth you will likely get it to fire and run, but the distributor will need to be finely tuned to get the correct angle, I believe less than 10 degrees, by slightly rotating the distributor. The engine needs to running at 1K rpm`s or more to get the proper reading.
