I would like to take the boat somewhere in the area for a nice relaxing long weekend with a few friends. It is not a sleeper boat, so I would love a hotel with a slip. I live in Oxford, CT and would love if anyone can make a recommendation.

I was thinking of Lake George, but I am not impressed with their accommodations. Any ideas?

Does this mean you want to trailer

I have stayed at Lake George a LOT and while there are plenty of mom and pop hotels there are also ones as fancy as it gets

What kind of lodging are you looking for ?

There's tons of places on Winnipesaukee that would suit your needs. Pick up the "Destination Winnipesaukee" DVD and you can geta video tour of the lake, restaurants, and hotels. The DVD is a little hokey at times, but a great way to learn about the lake. http://destinationwinnipesaukee.com/

O sorry and to answer the question, "What kind of lodging was I looking for?", I was looking for a town house or just a nice classy hotel on the water with a slip. Not a mom and pop joint. Granted I've stayed at my fair share of them, but my wife is prego and I wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. Tis the reason why we aren't planning any long or far vacations this year.
