New EPA approved tank - '76 15hp 15R76A

Will these new tanks work with an older fuel pump motor? Engine seems to be starving for fuel after a few minutes of run time. I have fresh fuel, rebuilt carb, new points, plugs & condensors & 95 # compression each cylinder. It's almost like the motor is running way too rich as the amount of fuel consumed seems excessive. Any ideas or suggestions?

With the new tank without vent you must loosen the cap before it will feed fuel; at least that's the way my tank is.

Try your good old original tank once and see what happens.
