I have a new 90ETEC...have about 15hours on it. Bought it late this summer...I plan on going out duck hunting a few times this winter with it...it will be setting for about a week at a time outside in an unheated building...how should I care for this outboard and what should I do for keeping life of the engine...What if it is going to set for two weeks or so in a building that is 20-30 degrees...Thanks for help and insight...

Re: New Etec Need Help With Winter Care

No special care, other than leave it in the vertical position while stored. If you're leaving it for a month and a half or, more. just follow the "winterization" instructions in your owners manual while running the motor on the muffs. It takes less than five minutes, and when you're ready to use it again, just start it up as normal. My E-Tecs have been sitting, stored outdoors, for over a year with nothing else. Very simple.
