New FC-W regs for 4 strokes.

I was hoping to run Mobil-1 oil this coming summer but to my surprise I don't see Mobil-1 listed here. I see Amsoil (some call it Scamsoil) and Mercury plus some I have never heard of before.
Any idea what ingredients these types of oils have that Mobil-1 doesn't have?

I read on Bobistheoilguy.com that the new rating is a salt fog test? Who has heard of this and is it basically only for those that run in salt water? I assume so but just want to make sure.
If one runs in fresh water all the time then would Mobil-1 not be good enough?.............Irv964

I asked this question about oils to a Mercury rep at the Nashville boat show. He told me Mercury 4 stroke oil is made to their spec's, 25w40 for inboards and10w30 for the 4 stroke outboard. The reason he said was the newer oils do not have the EP (high pressure) additive (zinc) and their oils had a few more formulations that exceed automotive oils.
