Hope I got a decent deal at $80

Ill be fishing in salt water in the bay and larger river fishing.

Also, which power cables and transducer cable to get.

I'd think that is offered as a package (head/transducer/cables/etc.) by some one. If you can find a listing for a package deal, go with the components that are included?

As I stated I got only the head ...and correct me if I'm wrong but don't different transducers work better for different depths l?

From the Lowrance web site it appears that the x515c is a discontinued model that has been superceeded by the x515c DF. The manual for the x515c DF shows some specs for a transducer - which I assume would be the one it is normally bundled with. However, no info for the x515c (the older model). Why not contact Lowrance customer service and ask them for transducer recommendations?
