New forum feature?

I just noticed today that immediately following some members' names is [OP]. I can't figure out who gets this and who doesn't. What does it stand for? (old pro? on probation?? obvious pervert???)

EDIT: I see I now have this appellation, at least in this post. I guess it stands for "original poster".:redface:

i was on another vBulletin site and saw it. I thought it would be helpful here especially for some of our longer threads so I asked iboats if they could turn it on.

Hmmm. Seems like on iboats [NOP] (not old poop) would be more selective.
