NEW fuel pump didnt fix my problem

I just put a new fuel pump on my 3.0 4clyd thought is was my problem but it still smokes n idles rough. It takes the gas good now it was bogging down when i gave it gas. Carb was rebuilt my machanic. The reason for the new fuel pump was i was getting gas in my oil. Think i fix that but still not right yet, guna do a compr test on clyd tommorw. What does the compression test suppost to read??? And does anyone no what eles i can check???? Can someone help me?????

I just installed a brand new carb on my 4.3 and I had a similar problem. My floats where not adjust properly fouling my plugs with fuel. Remove one plug and see if it is dripping with fuel. If it is chances are your mechanic didn't properly adjust floats or a needle is stuck on your rebuilt carb.
