New gimbal bearing has a rough spot

I just got my SEI gimbal bearing kit with bellows from amazon.

I noticed when spinning the gimbal with my hand there is a spot where there is some more friction and you can feel some tention.

Is this normal for a new gimbal bearing? Is it because its new and not greased yet? This one has the grease hole in it still so I'm guessing its an old style you have to grease which I don't mind since I will be greasing everything on a regular basis anyway

Grease it and check before you go to the trouble to install it.

Agree, check it out all ways before you go to all the trouble. If there is a problem since you got it off amazon you can return/exchange it
