I just bought a rebuilt 350 long block (early model) to replace my motor. This thing has zero hours and has been sitting in a garage for 3 years. Just wondering if I should pop off the oil pan and lube things up before I turn it over with a wrench. Are there any other things that I should check out?

Thanks

Naw,... It's be better to primer it with the oil pump,...
But,.. If you don't have the tool,...
Pull the sparkplugs out,+ crank it on the starter for 30/ 45 seconds a time or 2...

You can rent an oil pump primer from Auto Zone for free. Just have to leave a 30 dollar deposit that you get back when you return the primer...
