Hello all, im currently looking at a 1999 larson 176sei, and the only major problems with the boat, is the tach and trim gauge doesn't work, and what i think is called the drive lever? works, but needs to be replaced. any of yall have any tips where to get these parts? im mainly focused on the drive lever first. thanks for the help.

I can't help you out with the repair, but wanted to welcome you to the forum. I don't know if you'll find a lot of shade tree mechanics here, but you never know! Personally, I would have to take mine to a local repair shop. You might want to stop in and get to know yours and ask for some advice. I've owned several boats and always rely on them to answer questions concerning routine maintenance and winterization.

Be sure to post some pics of your new purchase when you can.

I just bought a 2003 larson LXI190 and it too has a tach that dosent work.I pulled open dash and checked with my multimeter there is a 15 volt ac supply on the gray wire. black is ground and purple is 12 volt power So I ordered a new tach from Larson Will let you know if it all works out.

You can get replacement shifters from several places like iboats store. Do you have a Mercruiser or Volvo drive?
