Hello,
I am Ed from Connecticut, and this is my Winner 1850 CC, with 115hp Suzuki. Great little boat, can't wait to spend more time on the water fishing.

Hi New Guy,

Nice clean hull. I took all my stripes/decals off last year and I really like the results. What year is your 18? What are you running for a motor? You dan see pics of mine and some other nice versions in the large post on the 1850CC below

Here is a question for all of us Winner owners - When I am motoring, my volt meter reads under 12, ususally around 10, but when I am going slow in a river with the fish/depth finder on, I am only charging around 8-9. This can't be good. I have the battery charger on now for a fishing trip tomorrow AM and it looks like I can leave it on there for 6-8 hours. This is a new battery last year.

What are you guys running for recharging volts on your meters? What can I do to kick up the recharge from the engine? (I know, my questions could be more technichal but you get the idea. I do not want to end up with the whole family and a dead battery on some beach somewhere)

Thanks

Ken

Check the stator if its an OB or the alt if an IB. You are not charging because you would read 13-14 v charging and higher if under a load.

Its a 1988 with a 1988 suzuki 115.
Can't tell you what the volt meter reads, most of the guages don't work, so that is the next project, replacing guages.
I'm sure I'll be asking some questions about them.
