Hey everyone. I just bought this boat last week. It is the first boat this I have personally owned. Growing up as a kid my parents always owned a boat, so I was always out on the water skiing and kneeboarding. Well I am 23 now and have my own family. This summer we went out on my friends boat and I tried some wakeboarding. I forgot how much I liked being out on the water. So I decided to sell my motorcycle for something a little more family friendly. I have only been able to take it out once but next week is going to be an all week thing.

Its a 2000 Larson 186 LXI. It has a 4.3 Volvo Penta. I plan to upgrade the stereo a little and add a tower. Let me know what you think.

nice boat, imho, tower is great, but stereo's over done can be very offensive.

yeah, I understand what you mean. All it has in it right now is a cassette player. I guess I meant I plan to upgrade it to something I can use lol nothing that will blast other boats from the water.

Nice boat. Welcome Abord. And take a safe boaters course, they are indispensable.

I will agree! However, everytime I am on the water, I forget about the bike a little bit more!

Enjoy the boat, looks really good!

I also got rid of my bike to get my last boat... Drove my friends '09 Harley yesterday and my Wife said don't even think about it....

I wonder if I can find a dealer that will take her in on a trade?

Nice looking float!
Your family will appreciate the unselfish gesture of giving-up the bike for something everyone can enjoy.

Great looking boat. Congratulation! Now save up your money and put an extended swim platform on that thing- you will just love it, especially if you're going to wakeboard. Save up a little more and get another bike- great for those none boating days. Enjoy!

Yeah, I have been looking at those too. Any recommendations? They all seem so expensive.

If you're interested in the iPod integration the Alpine units are tops. I have one in my truck and it works great. A friend has one of the higher end models that truly replicates all the iPod functionality and display on the deck. Very nice.

I should have specified. I meant recommendations on a swim platform. All I can find are custom made ones.

I found one for $1,100. I know it is custom made and fiberglass but wow!!! There has got to be a cheaper way. I was thinking ~$400. Am I way out of line?
