Hello i am patrick a old man from st louis. I usually go to the evinrude section but it looks like I will be comming here now. Yesterday I bought a alumicraft bass boat with a 1989-50 hp yamaha. First thing I will need is a factory manual, working on that now. Anyway to get started it is not charging and I need to change the impeller as it is not peeing. I thought it was when I bought it but it will not now. I am a machanic and have worked on out boards before so any advice will be appreciated.

Hi Patrick,

Good luck getting the manual. I have tried this myself and got no where. I bought a non genuine manual and found it lacking in several areas. Even if the impeller fixes the problem it is probably worth looking at the condition of your thermostat.

Hi Patrick. The guys may decry Clymer and Seloc manuals but manufacturers manuals can be hard to come by. I use many Clymer and Seloc in my shop and if you can decypher them, and get a little help from the guys you should be ok. Try Ebay or Amazon for a manual. Better to have something than nothing, right?
