Over the last 2 weeks, I have installed a 13 gal aluminum fuel tank.
In the front, under the deck. not an easy install.
new thru deck vent installed.
new fill neck, 1 1/2 hose connected to fuel tank
new sending unit
new fuel gage
everything plumbed like it should be, all complete.
I put only 6 gallon of gas than took it back home, check for leaks, seems to be all right. Went to work.
Next day, went out to wire in the fuel gage and I could smell gas under the deck.
I immediately drained the tank, than pulled the gas tank out.
There was no fuel on the floor but the wood I use to hold down the tank does have a gasoline odor to it.
I wondering about condensation?
The tank does NOT have a leak.
Where could the smell be coming from?
